    About The Program

     A registered apprenticeship model is for grooming businesses 

    that want to develop talent internally
    instead of relying on informal training.

     It combines work based learning, formal instruction,
    and documented skill progression. 

     It creates a workforce pipeline.
    Not a course. Not a school. Not a one time training event.

    This model is designed for grooming businesses who:

    • Train staff in-house or plan to
    • Want consistent standards across multiple groomers or locations

    • Want to reduce turnover and reliance on owner-only training
    • Are open to formalizing training into a documented system

     This apprenticeship model is not designed for individual groomers, hobby learners, 

    or short-term training.
    It is built specifically for grooming businesses that want to formalize training, 

    develop talent internally, and scale with consistency.

    Who built this program

     This apprenticeship model was developed and is led by Jennifer Oppel, a salon owner in the St. Louis area and training program director with direct experience operating a grooming business and building structured training systems inside it.

    She has worked hands-on in grooming operations, helped support and advise other businesses, and built this model in response to the real challenges salons face.  (Inconsistent training, high turnover, variable skill standards, and the limits of informal, owner-dependent systems.)

    This is not a content product or an opinion-based course. It's a structured training framework built from real operational experience and designed to support consistency, safety, and long-term business stability.
